According to royal tradition, the king would lie upon this bed to receive visions and guidance from his ancestors, who visited him in dreams to help resolve matters of governance, conflict, or succession.
The surrounding borders and sides of the bed are enveloped in high-relief carvings of stylized figures and guardian faces, each one symbolizing an ancestor, warrior, or protective spirit. These figures stand in eternal watch, ensuring that the king’s connection to the spiritual realm remains uninterrupted and sacred.
